SENTAC looks forward to hosting this year’s 53rd Annual Meeting on December 4th-6th in San Francisco, California! This year's meeting will held at the Mission Bay Conference Center at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Campus. 

The Program Committee, led by Past President, Cecille Sulman, MD is working to put together a spectacular meeting agenda! 

SENTAC will also host two Preconference workshops, a Welcome Reception on Thursday evening at the W San Francisco Hotel with a DJ, drinks, and appetizers! The fun doesn't stop there- get ready for a fantastic time at SENTAC’s annual Dinner & Dancing Social on Saturday 

 

Pre-conference workshops will begin at 8:00a PST on Thursday, December 4th. The conference will kickoff at 1:30pm PST

Transportation Options to the Mission Bay Conference Center

Mission Bay transit is one of the public transportation options accessible to everyone.

> The Caltrain/Transbay service stops at 500 Howard St, and passengers can either get off at Long Bridge @ El Dorado and walk 5 minutes to the conference center, or at 16th and 4th Streets, and then walk 5 minutes to the conference center.

>The West service stops at Powell Station and drops passengers off at Owens @ Gene Friend (right in front of the conference center).

>The East service also picks up at Powell Station and drops passengers off at 16th and 4th.

Additionally, T trains run every 10 minutes from the Yerba Buena/Moscone Station. Attendees can get off at the UCSF/Chase Center Station and walk 7 minutes west to the conference center.

Speaker Financial Disclosures

Target Audience

This activity is designed for health care professionals involved in the care of children with otolaryngology, hearing, speech, and swallowing disorders. Uniquely composed of physicians and allied health care professionals, otolaryngologists, pediatricians, basic scientists, audiologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

 

Continuing Education Credits  

Expecting up to 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ for Physicians and Nurses 

Up to 1.85 ASHA CEUs (Advance level, professional area)

 

How to claim CE and ASHA CEUs:

Complete the evaluation sent after the course via email, that will include documenting the course/s attended, and completing the post-course assessment stating how you will apply the new knowledge and/or change/update your practice.

ASHA evaluations must be completed by Monday, December 22, 2025.

CE evaluations must be completed by December 4, 2026.

Finding Their Voice: Tools for Treating Pediatric Voice & Resonance Disorders and Differences


Course Directors: Ashley Brown, SLP, Jay Shah, MD, Scott Rickert, MD

Course Description: Management of children with voice and resonance disorders and differences can often be challenging and requires specialized training. This Preconference will focus on the diagnosis and management of pediatric voice and resonance disorders relevant to Otolaryngology, Speech-Language Pathology, and Pulmonology. Experts will discuss common vocal pathologies, surgical management, speech therapy evaluation
and management, and multidisciplinary approaches.

Objectives:
As part of this activity the participant will be able to:

  • Identify common vocal pathologies in children
  • Describe evaluation of voice disorders in children, including low- and high-tech voice analysis options
  • Describe surgical and speech therapy management of resonance disorders
  • Describe surgical management of voice disorders
  • Identify opportunities and management of gender affirming voice care
 

Navigating The Landscape Of Pediatric Care

 

Course Directors: Gretchen Sackmann, AuD Wendy Steuerwald, AuD, Aditi Bhuskute, MD 

Course Description: This session will explore the evolving landscape of pediatric care, highlighting key trends, challenges, and innovations across diverse clinical settings. Faculty will examine evidence-based strategies and multidisciplinary approaches that support children with complex or changing healthcare needs. Participants will also gain practical tools and frameworks to strengthen collaboration, engage patients and families more effectively, and improve the overall quality of pediatric practice.

Objectives:
As part of this activity the participant will be able to:

  • List three ways to promote work life integration.
  • Define burnout immunity and one way to mitigate it.
  • Identify three types of ergonomics that can be used in hospitals Identify current trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the delivery of pediatric care across diverse clinical settings.
  • Evaluate evidence-based strategies and multidisciplinary approaches that optimize outcomes for children with complex or evolving healthcare needs.
  • Apply practical tools and frameworks to enhance collaboration, patient/family engagement, and quality of care in pediatric practice.
